At Argos, our diversification strategy is based on strengthening our logistics network, so that we can ensure we can serve our customers with the products that they need. With this in mind, we have strategically positioned our operations across the United States, the Caribbean, Central America and South America, to ensure that we can move product to and within the markets where our customers need it.
Here is how we became the Argos we are today.

ARGOS | USA
Argos acquires Southern Star Concrete Company (approx. 50 ready mix plants in Texas and Arkansas), Concrete Express (six ready mix plants in Georgia and South Carolina) and our cement terminal in Houston, TX.

Argos acquires Ready Mixed Concrete Company (approx. 80 ready mix plants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia).

Argos acquires Central Aggregates LLC (sand reserves), Houston Ready Mix (four ready mix plants in Texas) and Chalico (one ready mix plant in Texas).

ARGOS | USA
Argos acquires cement and ready mix assets (two cement plants, a clinker mill, 79 concrete plants and six terminals) from Lafarge, thus becoming vertically integrated in the Southeast USA.

Argos begins expansion of the Harleyville cement plant.

Argos acquires cement and ready mix assets (one cement plant, two grinding mills, and approx. 70 ready mix plants) from Vulcan Materials Company in Florida. Argos also introduces 40 compressed natural gas-powered mixer truck to the Texas fleet and completes its expansion of the Harleyville cement plant.
2014

2016
ARGOS | USA
Argos acquires a cement plant in Martinsburg, West Virginia, as well as eight related cement terminals in the Northeast USA from Essroc and Lehigh, expanding its presence into the Northeast. The Roberta and Newberry cement plants achieve ENERGY STAR® certification.

Argos acquires a cement terminal in Massillon, Ohio, and cement assets in Puerto Rico.

2018
ARGOS | USA
Bill Wagner is appointed president of Argos USA. The Roberta, Newberry and Harleyville cement plants achieve ENERGY STAR® certification.
