Argos and its parent named leaders in the construction materials industry
Grupo Argos, our holding company, and Cementos Argos were named, for the sixth consecutive year, as members of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which recognizes the best practices of publically traded companies in terms of their economic, environmental and social sustainability.
With only 317 companies from around the world included in this edition, this index is a world reference for investors. It allows for the analyzation of organizations that develop responsible and comprehensive management of their businesses, with a strong focus on the value that the long-term shareholder can obtain.
Grupo Argos continues to be, for the second year in a row, a leader in the construction materials industry and, once again, was included in the Emerging Markets Index. In this case, Grupo Argos and Cementos Argos were world leaders in corporate citizenship, climate change strategy, environmental report, supply chain management, human talent attraction and retention, sustainable construction, tax strategy, water management and human rights, among others.

Celsia, our sister company in Colombia that provides energy solutions, was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) – Pacific Alliance, which recognizes companies with the best economic, social and environmental practices in Chile, Peru, Mexico and Colombia. Celsia took the highest score in innovation management, environmental report, water management, corporate citizenship and philanthropy and labor practices within the MILA index.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is the main indicator in the world that monitors the economic, social and environmental performance of companies present on the stock exchange market. In addition, it is a benchmark for international experts that include the sustainability management as one of its investment criteria.
