Alpharetta Office Collects, Donates School Supplies for Local Kids in Need

Drive distributes donations through North Fulton Community Charities

The Alpharetta Office recently hosted a school supplies drive to collect donations of backpacks and other essential items that local area children will need to head back to school. Working with North Fulton Community Charities, a non-profit organization serving the local community around the office, the donations that the Alpharetta employees collected will help prepare children to succeed academically.

According to studies, on average, parents spend almost $700 each school year on school supplies, and teachers will spend almost $600 per year from their own pockets on school supplies for their classrooms. As the back-to-school season approaches, some parents have to choose between putting food on the table and purchasing school supplies. With great programs, like this one, we can help families, who might be struggling to support their family, avoid the financial burden of an already stressed budget.

Annually, North Fulton Community Charities distributes over 1,000 backpacks to low-income families living in North Fulton.
