PORTLAND TYPE I/II CEMENT
Portland Type I/II cement is typically considered a general-purpose cement and is most often used for general construction purposes, such as precast concrete products, reinforced buildings, floors, sewers, bridges, and pavements. Argos portland Type I/II cement provides a moderate sulfate resistance to exceed the applicable ASTM and AASHTO chemical and physical requirements, ASTM C150 and AASHTO M 85.
PORTLAND LIMESTONE CEMENT PLC TYPE IL
Argos portland limestone cement PLC Type IL is a blended portland limestone cement that permits an interblending of naturally occurring limestone to a maximum allowance of 15 percent and works equally well with supplementary cementitious materials, like fly ash or slag to reduce the carbon footprint of your concrete even further. Type IL cements are more environmentally friendly than portland cements and have similar performance to portland Type I/II cements Argos PLC Type IL is a sustainable cement building solution that significantly reduces carbon footprint. Argos portland Type IL cement meets ASTM C595, AASHTO M 240 and ASTM C1157.PORTLAND TYPE III CEMENT
Argos portland Type III cement is a high early strength cement, most often used in construction applications where it is critical to maximize compressive strength during the first 24 hours. The high early strength stems from being more finely ground, which speeds cement hydration and drives faster reaction times than portland Type I/II cement.
As a result, concrete made with portland Type III cement can bear loads sooner than other types and reduces the time precast elements need to remain in their forms. It’s also a good choice for projects requiring prestressed or post-tensioned concrete, or for projects that must be completed in cold weather. Argos bulk portland cement Type III meets or exceeds all applicable chemical and physical requirements of ASTM C150 and AASHTO M 85
